When I include a face in my art, it is female or androgynous, never male. My appreciation of women and the nonbinary, and my ambivalence toward men, informs that choice. This collage is a tip of the hat to John Nash, the Nobel prize winning mathematician who was diagnosed with schizophrenia later in life than most. He’s the subject of the book and movie “a beautiful mind”. My interest in brain science led me to a fascination with neurodiversity which now influences my art.
